Data Deletion Policy

Data Deletion Policy

Last updated: August 30, 2025

At Winkist.io, we respect your privacy and give you control over your personal data. This page explains how you can request deletion of your account and associated information, regardless of whether you signed up using email/password, Facebook, Apple, Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, or any other login provider.

1. Deleting Your Account Yourself

  • You can delete your Winkist account at any time by visiting your Account Settings page.
  • Once deleted, your profile, activity, lists, discussions, and preferences will no longer be accessible.
  • Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

2. Requesting Data Deletion Manually

If you cannot access your account or prefer to request deletion directly:

  1. Send an email to support@winkist.io with the subject line: “Data Deletion Request.”
  2. Include the email address or social login provider account (e.g., Facebook, Apple, Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn) that is associated with your Winkist account.
  3. Our team will verify your identity and process the deletion.
  4. You will receive confirmation once your account has been permanently removed from our systems.

All requests are processed within 30 days of receipt.

3. Data That Will Be Deleted

When you request deletion, we remove the following data tied to your account:

  • Account credentials (email, password, or third-party login ID).
  • Profile information (name, avatar, preferences).
  • Activity history (discussions, lists, saved items, bookmarks).
  • Email addresses or identifiers provided by third-party login providers.

Note: We may retain limited non-identifiable, aggregated data (e.g., general usage statistics) for analytics and service improvement. This data cannot be used to identify you.

4. Contact Information

For questions or concerns about account deletion or privacy:

👉 This version covers all login providers (Facebook, Apple, Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, etc.) and ensures compliance for App Store and OAuth integrations.

Would you like me to also make you a Privacy Policy page (to pair with your Terms of Service and this Data Deletion Policy)? That way you’ll have the complete set: Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Data Deletion — which Facebook, Apple, and others usually require before approving login integrations.
